Activating your sigil candle
Activating the custom sigil of you Epiphany Candle is a beautiful way to incorporate sacred ritual in your everyday life. You may consider any number of things as you prepare to activate the sigil: Where you will be in your home? Will you play music? What time of day will you set aside to do this? Will you incorporate food or drink? Are there any objects you would like to be near your candle once it is lit? What cycle will the moon be in? There is no limit on how you might personalize this ritual!
Activating your candle
There are many methods for activating a sigil. What works for one person may not work for another. This is the activation method I use.. While holding the candle, concentrate on the sigil’s shape and meaning. Perhaps trace the sigil with a finger. What would it feel like in your body if this intention statement was your present reality? Listen to your emotions. Spend time in meditation. The goal is to reach another level of consciousness. (This may come more easily if you already have a meditation practice.) You want your mind to become focused on only one point, thought or goal. All other thoughts are thrust out until you may not even remember the meaning of your sigil. Once it all feels right (you may spend several minutes or even days meditating with your sigil) move on to the next step. Let your intuition guide you.
Lighting Your candle
Light your Epiphany Candle. Watch as it burns for a few minutes and imagine the ideas and feelings the sigil represents are being transformed into new form, made of the universal forces of light and heat. Imagine that light and heat radiating out from this moment, into your past and future. Imagine the glow of the candle’s tiny light spreading across your entire life. Watch the flame for as long as you would like to.
Safely using your candle
Safety is very important when using any candle. Ensure that your candle is placed on a heat safe surface, where there is no risk of it being knocked over by pets or children. Never leave a lit candle unattended! This Epiphany Candle can burn for up to fifteen hours. If you, or a partner, will be home to attend the candle, you may let it burn straight through. Otherwise, the flame should be put out before you leave your home. If you do burn the candle for an extended period of time, be aware of how hot the glass may become.
